Animal Contacts

It's just amazing what you can get used to, once you make your mind up to do it! These are not the big ants that are about to be the most celebrated delicacy of Santander. These are the last hormigas out before the females come with the really big colas (tail ends). We are encouraged to be told repeatedly that you pull the legs, wings, and heads off and only eat the juicy back end. Yippee!!!!!! You know I'm going to have to do it.

He is just typical of the many trapiche horses we see - many are mules. I still love horses!!!!

What a difference a couple of days make!

Open eyes, new feathers! They are beginning to look human!
